Chapin Marsh, CEO
Chapin has faithfully served as the CEO for YDI since 2006. As he witnesses the Lord unfold the completion of the good work He has begun at YDI, Chapin’s own faith has grown. Over the years, Chapin has seen the Lord use the ministries of YDI to impact people from all ages and stages of life – whether it be a teenage camper, early twenties Doulos member, or a seasoned missionary – everyone who comes to YDI is refreshed in the Lord. Chapin is also one of the founders of Head Waters College, YDI’s newest ministry.
Chapin holds his bachelor’s degree with a major in Political Science from University of Southern California, his master’s degree in Education from Pepperdine and his Doctorate in Educational Administration from Pensacola Christian College Chapin has four published works and speaks on a regular basis at churches, ACSI Conferences, CCEA
Conferences, and regional symposiums.
The best and brightest part of Chapin’s life is his time spent with his wife and three lively children, who all love to travel, read, and share Jesus wherever they go.
Matt Basinger, Program Director
Matt first came to the lodge as a camper when he was eleven. At sixteen Matt gave his heart to Jesus in the Lodge’s laundry room. After high school Matt served as a youth pastor for four years in a Calvary Chapel in the Shenandoah Valley. In the Fall of 2015 Matt and his wife came to help serve during a volunteer day. During the day they felt the Lord calling them to come to Head Waters Lodge to serve. On that Sunday their calling was confirmed while at church. The Basingers started serving at the Lodge in February 2016.
